What’s happening…

Second Church of Plymouth Retreat: – Saturday, June 3rd, 9 am to 1 pm. Zion Lutheran Church, 384 Court Street, Plymouth. Join us for a day of discussionto develop our church mission statement. Inter-generational Pen Pal Breakfast, Sunday, April 30th, in TRask Hall, ALL ARE WELCOME.

 

Community Observance of Yom Ha Shoa (Holocaust Remembrance) Tuesday, April 25th  7 pm at Congregation Beth Jacob on Pleasant Street overlooking Town Brook in Plymouth. Guest Speaker Ronnie Hurschorn, a student of the Holocaust for over 25 years. Pastor Bob will be doing a reading. The event is sponsored by Congregation Beth Jacob, The Plymouth No Place For Hate Committee, The Plymouth Area Interfaith Clergy Council.  ALL ARE WELCOME.

 

DO YOU LIKE TO SING?

The Second Church of Plymouth is actively seeking men and women to join our church choir. There are openings for all parts Altos, Sopranos, Tenors, Baritones and Basses. Please send an email or call Second Church or contact Jane Costa-Elliot at 508-746-7576 for further information.

 

FEEDING The Homeless-if you or a small group would like to provide a meal for the homeless  let Linda Emo know at Missions: emo.emo@Verizon.net, and she will book you on the meal schedule. TheHomeless Taskforce are looking for meals for January through March. You will be feeding up to 15-20 people at Christ Church on Court St or First Baptist Church on Westerly Road, Meals start at 6 pm and they do not want more than 4 people serving the cooked meal.

 

Missions is collecting winter coats for children and adults. Drop off coats at the church. The coats will be delivered to Anton’s Cleaners and distributed to people in need. October 10th through January 6th.

 

Missions is collecting toiletries, socks, warm clothes and underwear for homeless men and women. Please leave your donations in the Fireplace room at Second Church in the black bin marked for the Homeless.

 

DON’T FORGET – Regular Service Times on Sundays return to 8:30 and 11 am on Sunday September 18, 2016

Dinner Fund Raiser:

Did you know that the church has a new fund raiser in place?  Periodically someone from the church will host a dinner at their home. The host or hostess will determine the number of people and what will be served.  Support our church all the while enjoying a delicious meal and fabulous company.
