Worship Services

Dear Friends,

Like so many other places of worship and businesses throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Second Church of Plymouth is currently supporting efforts to limit the spread and exposure of COVID-19 Coronavirus to others in our community by remaining closed for worship services until further notice. At the heart of the matter is our strong compassion and love for one another that we want to do our part to prevent any further spreading of this disease, so we hope that you understand and we ask for your patience and prayers. In the meantime, we will be offering virtual church services through Facebook and YouTube. If you would like to be included in the virtual service on Sundays, please contact Sherri Dyer at sdyer40@comcast.net or the church secretary at secondchurchplymouth@verizon.net.
Thank You,
Bill Dyer

Family Service

Sundays 8:30 a.m.

The youth are the future of Second Church and our community. Their energy is valued and embraced. We recognize that there are many activities vying for their time — sports, academics, social life — and our goal is to make them feel welcome and keep things lively to hold their attention.

The Family Service is an opportunity to embrace the energy of the children as we teach them how Christ can be a part of their lives. The Praise Band, playing a variety of music on guitars and drums, encourages children to get up on their feet and join in with instruments and dance. There is a weekly children’s story, and kids enjoy taking turns to collect the offertory and ring the bell. Our liturgical dancers perform at services throughout the year and we encourage our youth to participate in the service. People of all ages are welcome to join in Communion, the first Sunday of the month.

Our goal is to let youth know that they are valued, and respected in the life of the church community. Communion is served the first Sunday of each month and on sacred occasions.

Traditional Service

Sundays 10:30 a.m.

Our Traditional Service includes organ and choir music with familiar hymns led by the Chancel Choir, a pastoral prayer, inspirational sermons, and readings of the Holy Word from scriptures.

Communion is served the first Sunday of each month and on special occasions.
